Default Group buy - Speedline bolts

Hello Rennlisters,

Late last month, I attended the Essen Motorshow and found a German supplier of titanium bolts needed for your Speedlines. I posted my findings here and had some inquiries.

So I decided, in the spirit of Christmas, to offer a group buy with the following conditions:

1. Closing date is 15 December.
2. Determine your needs at www.titanium-touch.de. Most late Speedlines use M7 X40 mms titanium. There are 40 bolts per wheel. Don't forget the nuts.
3. Delivery from the supplier will be to my home in Europe before 22 December.
4. I fly to N. America on 23 December with bolts in suitcase.
5. Parcels will be posted on 24 December.
6. Your costs will be Euros 0.90 per bolt plus cost of packaging and postage.
7. I expect prompt payment in USD cash by return mail. Deadbeats will be exposed on Rennlist

I am very busy these days but will find the time. Please help me by following the steps above. Then send me an email.

Enquiries regarding your specific wheels should be directed to Tomas Schnieder email : schneider@titanium-touch.com

Cheers,

I wish I had Speedlines that needed bolts - now I would gladly pay for a set of wheels

I can just imagine the dialog you will have with the Customs officials:

Officer: Jean-Pierre, do you have anything to claim?
Jean-Pierre: I have a 1000 bolts in my suitcase - that's all
Officer: Why are you carrying a thousand bolts into the country?
Jean-Pierre: it was a group buy on Rennlist
Officer: a what on who?

Three hours later...
Jean-Pierre: they are for Porsche wheels
Officer: why are you supplying bolts for wheels

Three more hours...
Jean-Pierre: honestly, I am just doing this as a favor

I thought of this scenario... "but officer these are Xmas gifts."

Then again, I will not deal with the NSA as I will arrive in Canada... thank goodness!

I will be sending you mail. What are your feelings on reusing the bolts? Should one swap both? I don't need these nuts/bolts right away but can see a need down the road. Thanks for setting this up. You efforts are greatly appreciated.

If you are refurbishing your wheels, it makes good sense to renew the nuts and bolts too. IMO. The price is right too.. these bolts go for GBP 3.50/unit in the UK

Sorry I didn't post on 968 forum... did not know Speedlines also made it on your model.

Ciao,

Raj,

All teasing aside. You have a real beaut. No kidding. I wanted a 968 at first then my thoughts went to collector cars (Ferrari and the like) then back to Porkers. (collector) Different slant.
