It is finished (ha! are they ever…).
Smog test and headlight adjustment done today. I can legally drive it again, and will start tomorrow.
To recap:
-Full bare metal repaint
-Rust repair trunk floor, LR fender, L sill.
-GT2 defrost-less thin rear glass
-92 liter fuel tank
-RS, or intensive washer bottle
-Rear wiper delete
-Rebuilt rear shelf, rear speaker delete
-964 pre-production wheels
-New brakes 4 corners
-Heated, lumbar support full leather 12 way electric sport seats
-360mm extended hub steering wheel

I think that sums it up. I still need to fill the (completely new) AC, and I am fighting a likely fault in the ABS, but it is driveable and no alarm lights pop up.

Poor pics from tonight:

Wow George! Finally!
Now- if you haven't sold the winterkult wheels- we will be looking forward to seeing it out in the snow again next season!

Looks great. Always loved the color of your car...

Wow! So happy for you.

To our new members, this has been a 10 year project/love affair. What a story.

Project Schrek!

Fun looking back at some of your earlier posts when you were considering buying it. Don’t we have a crazy strong bond with these cars.

Looking forward to pics of Schrek on top of a Swiss mountain pass!

Got around to washing it, after 500 miles' driving. So far no mechanical issues.
Slight seep of water in the lower windshield corer left in a downpour, but that does not surprise me too much.

Better pics as of today.

This is beautiful especially knowing that you are familiar with every nut and bolt in the car.

Oh my that is beautiful!

I would love to know what it weighs with some of the weight saving measures. Also curious if you get more engine sound in the cabin with the lighweight glass.
