Ealry C4 project-Codename Shrek
This is where it started:

OK, Now it is mine, barring disaster. It is a delicious example of the breed, that has done one too many all-nighters. Plan is to NOT HURRY. I will start finding needed parts, and it will get a mechanical re-comission by my mechanic over the coming winter. I intend to bring it back to stock condition, maybe with a few slight mods that would have been possible at the tims of production. I already have an alloy front lid, some thin glass, genuine RS CS buckets (not sure I'll use these) and a collection of steering wheels to choose from. I intend to keep 16" wheels on it, as it will make not a difference with the intended use. If I can find a set of forged wheels off a 928 S4 or GT, I will fit them. I'll also find a radio with CD and Ipod or MP3 function, as the original is gone, and I want simple and discrete.
Now I'll look into registering here, and start pleading, sobbing and begging for advice, insight and parts for it.
Again, jealousy is futile, I will not part with it.

Nice find! Good luck with bringing her back to life!
The more I look at these cars with the D90s, the more I'm tempted to go back to them instead of the Cup1's I have!

There will be updates for sure, but not too frequent. The plan is to have it brought back mechanically over the winter, then put it on the road, after which I will do the cosmetics. I don't mind the ratty looks as long as the car is functional.
I'll be needing parts, the most immediate being a rear bumper, and 2 sharkfins. So if anyone has these on the shelves, let me kow and I'll be glad to purchase them. In the meantime, here are a few more pics. The driver seat has been repaired, and for a patch job, it is rather well done.

George - That looks like a big project. I hope it turns out for you. Please keep us updated periodically. I resurrected a car that had been parked for 15 years. It took a while to go through each subsystem (brakes, fuel, suspension, etc). The good news is that it can be done and its very rewarding. The bad news is it can be a lot of work.
