Just joined the Rennlist. My car is 91 C2 rescued from Hoholulu by my son while he serving in the navy. I say rescued because she was severely neglected by owner after owner. He found her not running painted blue from the original mint green. His friends said he was nuts but he told them she is a diamond in the rough. He named her Talia and gave her to me when he made me a goldstar parent. That was almost 3 years ago. Since then starting from knowing nothing or even wondering about a Porsche 911 I have lost myself in her by reading everything I could find here and on other forumns. First winter got her to run she was puking oil but ran. 2nd winter did a reseal of engine after finding 4 broken head studs. After that just been driving her and loving her and fixing the other litgle issues. Will be painting her back to the origanal mint green this winter or next. You all don't know it but all have helped Thank you
Welcome. Sorry for your loss. I'm a Navy Veteran myself. These forums make things easy. Now, I don't even second guess things, I just go by what everyone is doing on here. Lol.

Shame about the car being resprayed over mint. Good idea putting it back to mint green. How good/bad is the respray? Can you still find mint in the engine compartment, frunk, wheel wells? Post some pics.
Was late when I first posted should have added 2nd winter new wheels and tires 3rd winter I replaced the shocks and stuts. The respray was so so appears the windows were out but other areas just taped off. Rear wheel wells mint green front are black part of trunk and engine bay black and some mint green. I will post pictures when I figure out how to. Talia almost had to be the only mint green C2 ever in Honolulu
