Interesting - I contacted RUF Germany directly, and Claudia Mueller confirmed both the SCR and Ultimate used a 964 chassis. Perhaps the prototype was 993-based while the production version will be 964.

She will be sending me full specifications and pricing next week. I'll pass along the details when I get them.

As quoted from RUF to me......€480,000 for the SCR 4.2 and €430,000 for the Ultimate...around....$528k and $473k respectively...depends on current exchange rate

Yes. All of their factory built new cars are fully US compliant for safety and emissions.

A removable hardtop (even one with a sunroof) could be made for 964 and 993. The only problem is money.

Let me rephrase. Could the Ruf carbon fiber roof be used to turn a cab into a coupe?
