Lemme check Amazon for a 55 gallon drum of apple cider vinegar. And prepare American Express for some new hardware charges.

Last night Mike dropped me the boots for the tarett drop links. Boots should be bought from sealsit directly. I say this only because tarett is more expensive, and they give you zero information. Go to sealsit, buy the smallest boot they have which is the correct one for the tarett drop links. And shell out the 14 dollars for the install tool. Then, if you read their instructions, you go in through the eyelet...and not through the base of the boot. And they go right in. No rips. Fill them with an appropriate grease and done.

Well sorta done. That's for a normal rod end. The bottom rod end is the easy one. The top rod end is a pita. There isn't enough room for the ears on the boot. So I clipped those off and whalla...tight but it fits...weather sealed and greased rod ends on tarett drop links. It'll be interesting to see how much mvh increase their is. Might be tough to compare of John's car, because his previous rear swaybar was installed upside down, leaving the transaxle resting on it and both sides resting on the trailing arms...which has to add more noise than a solid end link...

Still on hold. Waiting for elephant parts and tools, and parts from sunset.

Next car, all bolts and hardware that don't get destroyed in removal, get yellow zinc plated.

Everything is done now with the exception of torquing the hub bolts, full bleed, alignment , and rear struts.

all in all, it's a pretty easy job, but there is a bit of a slippery slope once you have everything out since there is so much potential to want to don't nuts and bolts restoration since it's open...

Struts hopefully this week if the parts arrive. And on to the mainer car...

Will do. Just found the perfect press tool...at Napa, a 3/4 drive 29 mm socket

Nice! I love when the solution is something as simple as that. Can't tell you how many times sockets have saved me on projects. Even used on as a junction between two hoses on a the power steering bleed!

Did you buy the tarett drop links?

If so the size is the smallest they make. RERS1

I highly recommend the tool as well. I would have never gotten these on without it. And a can of silicone spray to make everything slippery.

I dont think they are tarett. bought them of the bay sometime ago. never go around doing it. If they are the same size I could order the same boots as yours.

How do you adjust the height of the links? From what I have read. they need to be no load when the car is on the ground right?

We just made them the same length as oem. Same side to side. They will be adjusted properly when the car is aligned with a person sitting in the driver seat. This is when you load the car properly and set it up correctly for corner balance and swaybar load, geometry etc...

It'll be either something we set up to do at my place or we let the experts do what they do best.
