Funny that he hasn't said anything about it not being down to you.

John (M), any chance of emailing me the full-size version of that picture of my car on track?

John B,
I have more better shots of you. I will go grab a glass of vino and hopefully later tonight will have an album up in the Events Album in my photo gallery.

Been out all day - just found this thread.

It really was a great day at Castle Coombe and great to meet all you guys at long last. As Greg L said, 964 owners really are a friendly bunch. Let's do it again soon!

What's not been mentioned was that much time was spent comparing fans and we came to the conclusion that only 89 cars (John and mine) had non-painted fans, later cars have yucky magnolia ones (to match your garage walls maybe?). However, today I saw a 1990 car with a bare fan so that's thrown that theory out of the window!

We also found that the 89 cars have an auxilary spring on the throttle return, mounted on a rather nifty ali post. No idea why...

I was also surprised to find out that the Blue Nun isn't Kevin Asbridge.

Best part of the day was being driven around the track by John Miles - great driving and amazing just how good a standard 89 C4 is. Who needs an RS, eh? Sure he'd have gone faster without those funny mirrors, though

Cheers

I'm surprised his funny mirrors haven't worn to a point where they ground as he attacks the chicanes!

P.S. My 1990 has the extra throttle spring and ali post!

Ok, that leaves me confused too? If the Blue Nun ain't KA - who is it?

JB - email me a picture showing your aluminium intake pipework & your throttle spring & post (I have plastic)

Phil - email me a pic of your metal fan (I have magnolia colour)

I'll then do a seperate thread showing the differences, and see if we can get some others to chip in with which they have (& date of car)

That would be telling! There would be no point being The Blue Nun if everyone knew who you were.

No-one knew Superman was Clarke Kent did they?

I'm sure KA will be very amused by this!

OK, here's a clue or two...

1. The Blue Shadow has a cobalt blue 964.
2. He and P&I holiday in Scotland each summer.
2. He has (well, I have actually), posted some pictures into John M's competition under his real name!

Is Christer away? I've just noticed that we've been able to post some silly comments without retribution from Christer...

Yes, Christer is in prison (oops, I'm sorry, I meant in Rhodes) for two weeks!

Actually, that reminds me, I said I'd stand in for him while he was away.

So, with that in mind...

Stop posting all this mindless crap you bunch of t*****s!
