That is EPIC ! - One of the best mini-movies I've seen. That looked so much fun. My kind of road trip

This story embodies the spirit of the "first drive home" experience, but to epic proportions. I still vividly remember mine.
Oh the feeling of driving a new-to-you 911 and not having a clue what's going on in the engine bay.

I don't want to give anything away, but his comment - while driving - at the end of his day at the Ring talks to the quality of these cars.

Fantastic video, I was riveted and didn't want his journey to end. Great story.

Yeah the excitement and fun of that first drive is worth a couple thousand! I flew to SC to pick mine up. The hotel stay and meeting PO was priceless! I was too scared to wreck it my first drive. Hadn't driven a stick in years, too.

Vandit,

Thanks for posting I really enjoyed that. I don't know who he is but I'm sure DDK'ers will, so whoever you are well done mate!

I can't add much to what Rob said, except the Pilgrim should get a job on Top Gear by default :reckon:

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks for that link. I love his posts too.

'cause it's always about 964 over here. Here's a picture from his thread that shows the 964 that stopped to help (which is what most Porsche owners would do) in the Alps.

Good fun and one helluva adventure. Chris has an excellent attitude about life and his new 911 will give him a lot of enjoyment.

With some TLC, that will really be a great car!!!
