Guys, the Jubi was received yesterday. Car is beautiful inside out. Rate 9/10. But there was sth went wrong yesterday. The battery went out and the truck towing guy tried to jumpstart my car with a ipad mini size portable battery. Unfortunately, he connected the wrong terminal (-to+ and +to-). I was in the car waiting to start the car and did not expect him to be so careless. I tried to start the car three times when I heard the current sound but the engine never crank once. The small jumping battery's tiny wire became very hot and he finally found himself was wrong. When we towed the car to the undergound parking, it was jump started by another battery successfully. The car runs normally except the Airbags and AWD warning light is on. Now I need a expert to give an idea what can the damages be? I was told today that the tiny jump battery is blow away, it cannot be charged anymore.

Great pics and location, thanks for sharing.

To just have 2 warning lights after trying to jump start it with reversed polarity id say is a lucky escape. Did you smell any burning wires/plastic smells? Are you sure the 2 warning lights were actually caused by the bad jump start or could they have already been lit?

A decent auto-electrician / Porsche tech should be able to sort it fairly quickly.

Good luck with the new car - looks great!

Seller has confirmed no abnormalities before car is shipped. But he suggested these warning light goes on if the battery run low. Is it true? There was no weird smelling, no explosion and no acid spill. The small battery became very hot but not my battery.

Dumb question, but have you disconnected the battery completely and let it sit for a few?

After the wrong connection, the car was being towed to the parking and started by another battery correctly. In btw that time, I think my battery run out completely. But I have not tried disconnecting it and restart again.

Weak battery plays havoc with electrics, get a new battery and then see how things are.

Are you suggesting there was nothing damage if the lights go off with a new battery?

Default Hammer

Get a fresh battery. May need a hammer to clear the faults. Had a similar problem but without the bad jump. After the faults were cleared, they haven't come back. Needless to say, check your fuse box to make sure nothing burned up. YMMV.

Beautiful machine... good luck.

As the rest said: just replace the battery and give it a go.
