Thanks power-up.
Yes, we launched the T-Spoiler unit yesterday, and it is now ready for ordering.
Cheers,
Tore

So it turns out my MY 1990 has the door lock control unit located where the spoiler control unit is located on later models. And the spoiler control module is located on the floor. Thinking it was just the spoiler control unit, I sold it.

The door lock control module is Part # 911.618.111.01, and it looks just like the spoiler control unit Part # 911.618.112.01. Apparently they’re so similar the salvage shop sent me the wrong module. I hope to have the correct module soon, as the doors won’t lock without it.

I have one here, just waiting to be installed when I get the car back from the shop. I’ll post my findings once I do.

I have been thinking about ordering one of these, too lazy to replace the resistor in the oem unit. Like the idea of adjustable speed settings so the spoiler doesn't function in city driving. Assume I need to pull the seat to install.

AWESOME THREAD !! some serious work put into it.
I have one failing module... I have years of soldering experience.
The spoiler goes up and down, but it is usually too slow for the timer so I almost always get the light in the dash.
Manual up and down is ok.

The transistors measure ok.
I have cleaned up all the gunk on the connector, checked the start and end switches, both ok.
I cannot source new relays here in Iceland, they are not available.
Any suggestions..?
It is a 1990 version, similar to the ones pictured in this thread.

I had to get a new relay and found one in Germany and got it installed in the control unit. I then thought that I should get at least one spare to keep. I found some in Poland very cheap and bought 2. If you look for part V23072-C1059-A203 they should come up on EBay. The company are called TV Sat Electronic and their website is www.tvsat.com.pl. The ones they stock now are closed relays as opposed to open relays. They are reasonably priced so get a few if you think they are suitable. Let me know how you get on? Brian.
