Congrats!

Looks a great 964

I had a nasty feeling someone was going to beat you to it while you were thinking it over!

Only time will tell if I bought a lemon, but I would still like to thank all of you. Your input, advise and eveluation made it easier to make the decision, and I feel so much more confident that I made the right choice. What a great forum/community this is! A special thanx goes out to (sorry for sounding like an Oscar speech) P356GT (Per). The car came from Per's home country Sweden, and he helped me track down the registration and thereby the previous owner who only had good things to say about the car.

The car will be stored in a garage along with 10 other 911's (140 cars total) until May first, boy oh boy that's gonna be a long time waiting! Even though 4WD and snow is a good combo Besides working as an engineer I am a freelance photographer mainly shooting cars, so expect a lot of pictures https://facebook.com/fluxdonphotography

Hi all,

Just noted that there's a thread on Amethyst 964 so I might as well continue here.

I have always been a fan of the relatively "safer" colours e.g. midnight blue, polar silver (or even guards red / speed yellow for the brighter colours). However, recently I have come across Amethyst more and it started to grow on me. Just not sure what do you think about this colour? Kind of tricky to go with a 30+ married guy and potentially more difficult to get a repaint than the other more popular colours?

I have come across one with a light grey interior and a black dash. I have always been a fan of and is looking for an all-black interior but somehow this light grey colour combo goes well with Amethyst. What do you think - and I suppose it's much more difficult to keep the light grey seats in good condition (as opposed to black colour - any scratches or paints are less obvious?)?
