I'm still collecting parts and cleaning. My engine cradle came today and I thought I'd give the guy a plug. This thing is very nicely made and can't be beat for $120 shipped. I have no affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

Hi,
I have to do the same job on my motor ...
One question: how much should be raised the car to be able to slide out the engine?: Confused:

The jack stands were set to about 18" (460mm) and I left the front end on the ground which helped with rear clearance.

Some parts have started to trickle in, now I have to wait for the zinc plater and powdercoat before I can start re-assembly. I picked up most of the clutch parts today.

You will love the lightweight clutch & p plate upgrade! 18 Lbs of weight savings right there! Enjoying this thread. Thanks for sharing. Are you willing to share cost of zinc plating job?

It was around $300 for everything pictured plus my crank pulleys, lid latches, and some additional misc hardware. It was a little more than I expected, but this guy does show quality work, not the typical toss everything into a tank together and hope for the best. He's backed up right now so unfortunately they won't be ready until mid Feb.

Given the number of parts and care required, that seems a fair deal. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the information
You have brought out of the engine and transmission together?
If so, how have you taken the transmission?

A few more parts arrived in the past few weeks and a box from the dealer today. I apologize for these boring posts, I'm just jealous of all the other build threads, I'm at a standstill right now because of the horrible weather and my work schedule.

bunch of parts from the dealer

A decent used fan and lower valve covers from blackbyrd, just need powdercoating now.
