There is an excellence (balance of functionality, quality, beauty, and performance) that is absolutely stunning in the Singer IMHO. There are other cars (RUF) that are also exceptional....but they are not balanced.

I drive my P-cars on regular roads where car capability is crushing practical speeds. I dunno.....but if i can swing it, i am thinking a Singer is just a beautiful representation of my 35 year fascination with Porsche that began when i was 11 and a guy drove up in an air cooled 911 to his house as i was cutting his lawn. The Singer has classic looks, unique/historical colors but with an incredible amount of detail and *I am assuming* just a ton of fun to drive. Lots of real world performance -- equal to my 991 TTS and 997GT3RS. I hope to spec one this year

Sweet! I like their videos. Can't wait to watch that on the big screen tonight, with the volume cranked!

Apex for the harness is a joke. Neil is a fraudster that takes people's money and never delivers a product. Yes, I would not advertise working with that tool. Check with my lawyers for further details.

Electrics: 18 months of development with Apex Racing and Motec engineers in order to develop a fully operable street car harness/PDMs that actually works consistently in all conditions. Just so happens its 20lbs lighter than standard, fully aerospace compliant, and will probably survive the apocalypse.
Brakes: Yes, in fact we did hire Brembo. Race Technologies / Brembo North America engineers worked to determine, fit, adjust, and test the spec. Here's a secret, they aren't standard 993tt calipers.

So we've covered the dampers, gearing, harness, and brakes. There are XX# other systems and items on the car that receive equal amounts of consideration and development.

Generally, I stay out of these types of discussion, but I'm feeling a bit adventurous this evening and one of our clients is participating.

Interesting you should say that about the wiring firm. I read their web site and wondered. Sounded more like a fashion designer than substance. There is attention to detail and then there is huckster - and the two can be very close.

They were contracted to build a custom Pectel ems for a project car of mine. $10k paid in advance and then never delivered. Finally after lots of lawyer time they delivered something that didn't work and came with a used and defective Pectel that was clearly pulled from some other car. They are scumbags and crooks and this is not a unique instance with them.

Why does Singer use Pectel? Was it because they originally had Cosworth US build engines and Pectel is part of Cosworth?

I believe that is correct. I know that the 4.0's are built by Ed Pink in LA now and thought they switched to Motec but could be wrong on the ems.
