As previously posted, I took the car in to my shop to have the hood painted, take off the side decals, and replace the ducktail with the original decklid. The hood was black and blue to backdate the look, Magnus Walkerish. While the car was there, I decided to have the side mirrors and the lower valance of the side skirts and rear bumper painted to match.
In addition, to add my own personal touch on the car, I decided to have a racing stripe painted on the hood flowing down the front bumper. I've always loved racing stripes on a car as it gives it a more customized look. But I didn't want to make is too flashy and wanted to keep the overall stock appearance. So I decided to go with a ghost racing stripe. It's the base color of arrow blue with a white pearl mixed into it. You can see the stripe more or less depending on the view/angle and the way the sun hits the paint. I absolutely love the way it came out! I know some purists won't like it, but to each his own.
With that, here are some pics of the car after I picked it up yesterday. I hope you guys enjoy. Check out the before and after. I feel like its a whole new car!

Three Wheelin'
Nice thread Rey, first disappointed you planned to remove the bonnet strips, but what you've done looks much better.
Looking forward to seeing the wheels when finished.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am so pleased with the way it turned out. It's a little scary doing something to the paint without knowing how it's gonna turn out. But I'm glad I took the risk on it. I can't wait to see how the wheels are gonna turn out. Again, scared and excited at the same time. Curious to see how the gold is going to look against the blue. Wheels should be done within the next couple weeks. Stay tuned.

Awesome ride. Car looks good with or without the decals. I typically don't like side decals, but the colors and the wheels really went together well. The new subtle ghost stripe looks great. Looking forward to seeing the new wheels. Always fun making the car your own, nice work!

Thank you!
Thank you! You're right. Best part of 964 ownership is putting your own personal touch on the car. But now, it's all that's on my mind. haha
