Default 964.106.266.01, "air duct", where/what is this? ** follow-up shroud question

I'm looking through PET as I put together another sizeable order of parts and I see this piece and don't recognize it or see it in my engine bay.

Item #1, 964.106.266.01, Air Duct

#5 is the piece that connects the blower fan to the alternator housing. I recently replaced mine because it had a tear in it.

Look underneath your engine and you'll see them.

You can see them installed in one of the photos here part way down the page.

I have seen pictures of builds where the part has been powder coated to match the cam covers/fan etc. I couldn't find one of those though.

Here's another question.

What goes in or on this hole i'm point at?

The one further up is 1 of the 2 knock sensors, the hold to the center is the alternator loom.

and just FYI, the ignition wire clip i'm also pointing at is 911.602.551.00.
