Smile hi all, mini 964 club Dubai pick heavy... and my 50th anniversary grill badge :)

hi every one,
apparently 964s have quite a following this side of the pond... the groups getting bigger....

and i just received my 50th anniversary grille badge... i had to use bigger washers to secure it to the grille.. apologies for the bad quality, it was 9pm and couldnt wait till sunrise..
heres some pics..

mine is the midnight blue, 1991 c2 tip/ no sunroof, my neighbor's is the black 1991 c2 coupe/ sunroof, the red targa is a carrera 4 1992 (as far as i remember) belongs to brother in law... shes a manual..

the mustangs are a different breed.. we peacefully co exist..

Glad to see some pictures from this corner of the world... I wonder if people react the same in DXB as in BAH?

Generally I get more "respect" on the road with the 964 than many newer Porsche's I've driven here.

Great group shots. The black Cup Is look great with the black features of the Targa. I love how unique each car looks depending on rims and other subtle mods.

The Dude abides.

Loving the attention to detail on your 964, from the ghosted graphics to the blue calipers

Very nice!

hi all,
thank you ...
navaros 911: you are right, we do get a lot more respect ... and people here are slowly starting to appreciate classics...im assuming by BAH you mean Bahrain.

Niels e46 m3: its never too late to ship.....and if you do .. you wont regret it.. or well help you find one..

911jetta: thanks, the targa is going in for lowering the front suspension a bit soon..

ECS tuning: thanks, were trying to organise a porsche weekend trip to the ocean coast.. waiting for the cabrio owner to have some free time.. will post..

Big mike ATL: unfortunately, not every ones rich here... non of the current 964 owners are even close to rich( if i was.. there would be a speedster, a couple of turbo wide bodies and a 3.6 turbo in those pics)... we found out that fishing out a 964 from japan is quite reasonable.. 8-12 k US shipped to Dubai, put another 5-15k US on(restoring or modifying) and you have a keeper that you enjoy, appreciates in value and turns heads wherever you go ...

deutschland Dobson: thank you my friend...next will be a centre racing fuel tank ( singer-like) but i cant find any one that'll touch the project... but i havent given up yet..

antgtv: hahaha.. you made me smile, thats our national dress my friend.. does wonders when you have temperatures hitting 53 celsius during the day...

Nine-meister in the UK are the people to call for this level of custom work

Check out the project build threads on Rennlist...
