ThomasC2,
Thanks for increasing my confidence with your experience. I will begin the teardown tonight to start getting access to the chain case cover and housing.

Ricardo - Yes it can be done. Be sure not to bump or move the cam when the chain is off, otherwise, you will need to reset the cam timing. You should also inspect the chain ramps while you have them out.

Ok, I finally got access to the cam chain housings and covers.
Step1: Remove rear bumpers
https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...al-thread.html
Step2: Drain oil in crankcase if you plan on opening up the cam chain housing covers.
Then follow pictures below.

then keep going
Note: I dropped the engine about an inch to help the rear tin slide out easier.

Next step is to remove the A/C bracket. I am very lucky here in that I already modified my A/C bracket so that I do NOT have to remove my crankshaft pulley. A couple of special tools are required to do that if you have the original un-modified bracket on your car (do a search).
Now I am just waiting on the special tool to hold the sprocket in place. More details soon....

Great eye towards...
Safety! I noticed your car is lifted, with safety stands placed in case of failure. Great job... I could work with you any day (and feel safe doing so).
