Default Rear brake calipers

So!
I have lifted plate on the rear calipers on both sides. Following people's advice on here, I've sent them off to a specialist to get them overhauled and powdercoated yellow.
They've have them a week. Still, they can't release the screws for the plates even after soaking. They are going to try heat tomorrow apparently.
The car needs to get back on the road soon, so I'm weighing up some options.
New calipers are £££
Does anyone have any UK C4 rear calipers in good condition that they want to sell - if they can't remove the screws?

Has anyone else had this issue where the screws are stubborn - how did you get them out?
James.

Weld a nut onto the screw then undo the nut.

The screws that hold the stainless plates have a special high temp thread locker. I'm told you need to heat them to a cherry red and then they will come out.

Clean out the hexagon screws, make them cherry red and snap them loose.

I'm shocked the specialist is not used to doing something like this!

I did it myself. Cut a slot with a dremel tool and then a cold chisel to tap them round until they were loose enough to unscrew.

Boxsey - the words 'me too' have already crossed my mind.
I'll pass all the comments on, hopefully we'll have some movement tomorrow!
I'll keep you all posted.
Cheers.

James,
I spent 9 hours removing all of mine. Never again!
I used heat, and filed flats onto the sides of the bolts so I could get an open ended spanner on as well as the Torx bit for extra purchase. There are some calipers for sale on eBay at the mo and not massive money if you get stuck.

Cold chisel is the way to go, no need for anything else, new screws available on their own or complete with plates

I used a chisel. It was easy with this method.

Having battled for hours with mine I can confirm that heat is the key. Once you pass the critical temperature for the Loctite, even the rust monsters give up. Dremel slot was needed for a couple though.

Indeed, a positive phone call for once - heat was the key
So, thanks to you all for your ideas, hopefully I'll have them back by the end of next week.
