The last part in my interiour upgrade is the steering Wheel. I bought an OE Leather 3 Bar Wheel ( Manual Cars ) from Porsche shop UK 960 £. It comes without a DIY and without answers from their support mail, great. So now guys, has anyone experience to get this installed? I dont get what I need to do and im a bit careful about this since it is with airbag involved? Have searched and read all DIY there is. But i dont get how the horn should work and I dont get answers waht parts I need to re use.
Thank You good threads.
911PERVY: Yes it is a leather wheel, find it good sofar, however very disapointed of the service. Will never ever buy from them
Useful threads, thanks but I'm afraid that the 964 s.wheel is different and not so easy to change like the 993. Horn buttons could be tricky.
Hope somebody can help in this case...
I will take them apart and see what is in there, I just took away the airbag and there are Cables run into the buttons for the horn. Dont have that much time at the moment but will try and get it done by next weekend.
Well it looks like you have been truly ripped off by the Porscheshop!
That wheel should cost under £700
I would send it back and demand a full refund, they have supplied something different to the advertised item without letting you know, then contact your credit card company because they will muck you about over the refund. Then buy from a supplier with a better reputation!
