Is yours a coupe, targa, or convertible?

Most times its the drainage holes are 'plugged' and cannot dissipate the water. One is under the car ~ kind of like under the passenger seat ish area if your going to see it. Hard to describe but its in Adrian's manual. Secondly, open the rear engine lid, and on either sides you will see a black nipple like hole, and its worth checking those aren't clogged either.

Try to search, there are a bunch of threads on the subject that could help more than my description.

There should be a plastic membrane behind the interior door trim; often these shrink with time and pull away from the door metal, allowing water intrusion in the rain.

Water in the footwell is only a symptom. You need to find how the water is getting in and fix that. Otherwise, drying it out is only temporary. For me, it was clogged water drains in the HVAC box. But also check your seals around the windshield, doors and the door & sunroof drains.

Good luck with the repair and keep us posted what you find.

Your a/c condenser drain may be clogged. As your wrench to squirt some air up the drains.

Several places that can cause water ingress into the car....at least in my experience.

- hood seal - this caused water to enter into the trunk and into the hvac box and eventually dripping onto my passenger foot through the foot vent.

- clogged hvac drain - this can cause the hvac box to fill up and drip into the inside of the car

- sunroof drains - this can clog and cause water to to drip into the car

- door panel water barrier seal - this will cause water to drip into the card at the edge where the door panel meets the door.

These 911s can't seem to keep the oil in and water out!!!
