Solved - Water pours on my feet - out of lower heater vent
I have a '90 C-4 Cab (LHD). In the past 2 months my front carpets have been getting wet during rain. I have been assuming it was dripping in thru the seals between the door and the cab roof. However, two days ago, I was driving during a heavy rain storm and water began pouring (fast drip) onto my right foot. I reached down and felt where the water was coming in and it was the heater vent. It was a very startling feeling. Once I arrived at my destination, I noticed that the water was coming into the passenger footwell too.
I don't have access to my copy of Adrian's book. My household goods are in storage because I'm in the midst of moving. Is there a water drain for the A/C & Heater plenum behind the dash? I'm assuming there must be. How do I ensure that its not plugged up? Is there anything else I should be looking for?
Thanks in advance

Hey Rob!
Check the fresh air servo motor in the front trunk. You don't need a Bosch hammer to see if they still work just one person to push the button on the climate control unit (CCU) and another to watch the servo motor operate. If everything is operating okay the CCU should close the fresh air vent opening in relation to the speed your driving. If it doesn't you get wet. Of course your windshield could also be leaking but check the servo motor, it only takes a few minutes...
The drain plug for the HVAC is under the car right next to the fuel pump (and apparently it can get clogged).

Problem solved
There was a significan mud/dirt clog in one of the two drain hoses. JasonAndreas - thanks for the photo. It pointed me in the right direction. I poked a wooden dowel 1/8" x 12" into each of the hoses. The first hose appears to have been clear. My poking did nothing. When I poken the second hose, my stick came out wet and muddy. I cleaned it off and repeated. All of a sudden water and dirt came gushing out. I kept poking until the water stopped and my stick came out clean. Just to be certain everything was clear, I poured about a liter of water into the fresh air intake between the hood and windshield. Water poured out immediately.
I did learn that you don't need to remove the cover over the fuel pump shown on JasonAndreas' photo. You can access the drain hoses while its in place.
I'm confident that my feet and carpet will stay dry during the next rainstorm.
Thanks for everyone's tips and advice!

The fuel pump cover/water drains are at the right front portion of the car. The best way to see them is to jack up the front right (using jack stands). In my case, I removed the right front wheel. Slide under the car. You will see the black fuel pump cover. Shine a flashlight at the spot that I circled in yellow. Inside, you will see two 1/2" diameter hoses. Those are the water drains.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more clarification.
