Thanks guys! New update coming over the weekend.
Wait what some TLC will do to it.
No concourse, no hard core circuit, just my car the way I like it.
With a lot of future upgrades and evolutions. Same way as Jack Olson with his beautiful 911 from his 12-gauage gauge.
I still can bring it, but it would be Flintstones style.
Not decided yet

I'm with Vagluv on the new oil cap (they're cheap compared to most 964 parts). They give up with time. More than a few of us have suffered the consequences of a cap giving way.
Keep up the good work and see you at Spa when you have a break from it.

I just saw the "how it started" thread. I would have been so tempted to make it a widebody.
Excellent work! With the amount of work you're putting into it, is it going to be a collector or will it get driven?
EDIT: Just read it's going to be a track car - awesome!
When I restored my '65 F250, I restored it as a driver and not a show car on purpose. I still cringed the first time I drove it in the rain and "Christened" it. After that I was good.
What is the ETA on completion? Can't wait to see the progress as it comes together. Awesome thread!

ghhally, I have a nearly identical car(even white!) that has been sitting for 3 years, exact same hit but on the right side.
1)Did your doors close correctly before the bench pulls?
2)How much time (cost) did you have into the straightening process? Not paint, but just to make it perfectly square again.
I just posted asking the "save, or not to save" question in the 964 forum, and was pointed to you.
My doors do not close correctly, and I have an almost invisible crinkle at the corner of the sunroof indicating some through car damage.

2) allow yourself the time and effort to get the car inspected by a very good body shop. I took the best and had the car inspected before purchase. The front end on my car was only clipped to the right and not pushed inward, makes a big difference. We had the car on the bench for 7 working days and allowed ourselves plenty off time between the pulls. Some time was lost for checking gaps as we frequently installed hood and front bumper.
These cars deserve to be saved, but it all comes down to cost
