Awesome project Paul. Love the carbon fibre and those PMOS are beautiful. Worth the cost for looks alone IMHO.

Thanks Dave. I was worried about going with carbon but when I saw the JB Racing engine that was it, the look I wanted, so I went for it.

Here we go again, we have lift off, erm.....lift in!

Redtek oil-catch tank at the back. Rennlist sticker in back window Domed ITG air-filters, we didn't have quite enough clearance for the flat tops at the back due to the retractable spoiler.

Rennline carbon plug lead tidy fitted on the fan housing. AC all connected up.

The heater duct modification has been made to the carbon shroud to accept the Rennline duct which you can just see under the cover on the first photo.

The exhausts (bespoke items to get the most out of the engine) just about to be fitted. Bilstein B16's just showing.

Fitted a work of art. I thought it was a shame to put the engine back in but I definitely think it's a shame to put the rear bumper back on :?:

We're on final furlong,
Paul

Hi ghhally, that is indeed a ringing endorsement coming from you, thanks I'm loving your project and can't wait to see what you do next

Bumper on, shame ha! This will be it until Monday. I'm sure you'll agree there's been quite a lot done in the last couple of days so Nick deserves some time out before Julie tells me off

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Frank!

How are you enjoying Black Betty?

FYI all sorted with the splitter, thanks for your help.

There's an interesting thread started up on 911uk.com entitled "350bhp" you may want to throw in your tuppence ha!

Cheers mate,
Paul

Thanks Fuch! I always liked the look of them but I admit they've become busier over the years to cope with performance increases and emissions decreases

Cheers Superuser, even the heat exchangers are a work of art

Thanks Jotaking, nearly there now.

Hi Koss11-12,
Thanks mate Bhp was never my out-right aim although it sort of goes with the territory and naturally raises my curiosity. The build estimate is 350 so we'll see. The sitch is that when the engine is run in it will be all tightened up and properly tested on a dyno. Not much point before hand. I will post the results for all to see but it won't bother me if it's up or down of the estimate so long as the car responds well.

The engine will be fired up for the first time tonight if all goes well then testing tomorrow. Cold start, hot start, tickover hot and cold etc., etc.

I should have a couple more photos later this evening.

Thanks again,
Paul

Thanks Jetta, I'll let you know on Wednesday. They have another hour's work to do tonight then it's ignition

Here's a pic from earlier today showing the powder coated fan (Dark Chrome), sadly the door handles had to go back to be redone, fortunately Nick had spares to send from his own car (which he copied for) so we won't waste much time stripping and re-coating. The photo looks iffy but I'm assured the finish is great.

Heuer clock face is in too, thanks Ed! www.porschedials.com

I reckon only 45 mins to blast-off now

Cheers,
Paul
