I then remembered the water in the rubber seal of the windscreen. Peeled the rubber back and the windscreen came out, and the seal also. It was not bonded to the car. Rear window came out the same way.
Should they be?? I'm reasonably sure mine arn't :-S

Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Do you have a timescale in mind for completion?

Good sized garage for working in too.

Time plan will be complete body back to bare steel and of to the body shop for repairs and paint by the end of this year. In the meantime I'm hoping to clean, fix and upgrade several parts (suspension, brakes, cluth, etc).

And then rebuild it during 2014.

Seems so long, another 2 years without driving the 964 (and she's been a part for over a year now)

A year to prepare and paint it? You need to find a faster bodyshop......

Sorry for my terrible English ;-) but that is not what I meant. Hopefully it will be painted end of this year or beginning next year. After I get is back home I hope I can finish it in 2014 and have it back on the road spring 2015.

glad to see you have budgeted enough time for a 'proper/pukka' job - it'll be worth it I'm sure!
and that sloshing noise in corners will be gone
