Thanks vagluv, your order is on the way. I've seen several customers running Windows in a Mac using WMWare or similar virtual machines.
Cheers,
Tore

I received my T-OBD several months ago from Tore. I am looking at the user guide which has pics of the scantool screens. Which screen is used when you perform the idle adaptation? Can I bleed the ABS system on my C2 with this software?

Thanks

Now I just need to find a cheap PC laptop. Or maybe I'll just dual boot my mac...
You could try Fusion or Parallels but I've never tried a USB/serial dongle with either.

EDIT: I should have read ToreB's response above before jumping in...

Hmmm do you need software to do this on a C2? I thought it was just the more complex C4 system that required this?

Thanks

I was thinking the same.
Scantool have not the C4 bleeding function, you'll have to use Porsche OBD tool for that.

Just did the adaptation yesterday after putting in a new battery after taking my car out of winter hibernation. The Scantool worked exactly as it should and I'm a happy with the results.

No need to use a scantool (or other software) to bleed the brakes on a C2. However, a Motive Power Bleeder is highly recommended.

Don't forget to bleed the clutch, too!

I am helping a friend with his RSA. It had 993TT front brakes which were removed by the previous owner. When the OE RSA front brakes were installed a proportioning valve was not installed. It had been removed which is common with this upgrade.

We installed a new valve. The pedal is not as firm as pre valve install. We are thinking it may be because we breached the ABS system to install the valve? That is why I asked about bleeding the ABS on a C2.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. we did bleed the brakes after the install.

Thanks!
Jim

Jim, did you also bleed the brake master cylinder?

Hal, I just spoke with my friend. The pedal is not right after his test drive this morning. Our plan is to drive the car again and get the ABS to kick on. Bleed the brakes again and see if that does the trick. If we still have issues, I will start a new thread. Thanks, Jim

Has anyone done this successfully with an RS Clutch and LWF?
