here's the Cup wheel with the hooter now finally installed ... alcantara is lovely
OEM seats back in ... and a carpet shampoo - interior looking better as it was built than when I got it ...
pity as the Recaro's feel so much more solid ... and are lighter ... but color is a (small) problem
will see how they look once the backs are blue to match the carrera stripe

but recaros were in for the last 6 years with the PO so the ComfSeats have rested but there are some cracks and dents to be sorted ..
will try melting leather/bees wax in and massaging
- foam is dented in a few places tho - more pics soon - any special tricks for dented foam?
true - very comfy but alot to be said for the snugness of the recaros (putting them back in for trackdays)
Car is on a slight downhill slope in that pic, so door does go to the max
... I'm keeping an eye out for some 16in Cups ... but as I said above the D90 ride is smooth - our roads aren't!
Even thought about a set of Fuchs that are available here .. but 7in seems too narrow (saw the 94 fuchs thread with all Utah's expert Photoshopping!)
.. Yeah the white/cream is nice with the blue but took lots of scrubbing and soaping and vacuuming!
No muddy feat!! Looking for a set of overcarpets in the blue maybe ... but carpet in color not so easy to source
- suppliers down here seem to have only black/brown/grey - UK suggestions??
Oh and keen to see your dyno soon
Hey Crazy! Used to seeing you on the 3/Cup side - thanks for the kind words.
Seems there's just so much to love about these 911s

a few more (see the cracking that's starting - hopefully quite easily 'smoothable')
and a secret tip - the round handled ratchet - what a life saver - 10min per seat max!
(was about 45 with the allan key and wrong ratchet!)
and just incase if you didn't already know this:
1. cover consol with towel before carrying seat through the door
2. connect seatbelt recepticle and motor control cable before putting seat in; sight the connector on the floor - its got a black locating nib that makes it easy to put in (partially) blind
3. ensure the bolts are clean and the removable metal slots are well positioned in the fixed seat rails - use some prestick/putty if they're too loose
4. don't move seat rail/lever until one bolt is nipped on each side - they can twist and get out of line with each other (as me how I know)
5. oil/lube up the rails a little and make sure they're nice and clean - nothing easier than cleaning them when they're out/harder than when they're in
6. headrest in first, then rotate bottom in - found it easier to start at the back with the bolts (one washer per bolt)
7. once motors attached, the other 4 bolts are easy to get too

thanks Frank. Your detailing/molesting thread tilted me to the 64 originally ...
(need to look that up before my first concourse next month ) ...
and your interior sure makes black look like an allround winner - easier to clean/care free, slick, racey, easy matching etc...
No re-carpet for me now tho ... so
many thanks for the autostyle link - looks perfect - note they don't even offer anything vaguely white nowdays!
Ah, late 80s style ... not

Three Wheelin'
Thanks for pics
Yup, that's Linen Beige.
I like the matching Linen piping. Mines body colour (red) piping and looks a bit dated.
From the photos they look to be sports seats?
