Thanks to Johns pics I decided to get mine done with the 993 roof.

I really prefer the 993, just looks to be a better fit and really enhances the cars shape.

jotaking: I kinda dig your red top. I've thought about maybe future replacement of my black cab top in red too. I had a flat tire a few months ago and had to use the small "red" spare. I was startled to see how "bitchen" that particular wheel design looked, and especially in red. Have you ever thought about painting your wheels to match your red top. It'd sure render it a unique look. Cheers.

Thanks Jody,

I would like to do the callipers in Red.

Looking at doing the interior with Red carpets, White/Linen Seats & Blue Dash and door tops.

Going for the Union Jack Look.

You're going for the Union Jack look! I've been going for the German flag and Porsche badge colors--red, yellow and black. Right now I've got a black cab with original colored black top, the usual yellowish tan interior that I deem a "yellow ochre" leather, and since I had to redo the seats, I opted for the red wine colored leather seats. Am thinking of (in the future) painting the cup1's red and when "necessary" a red wine colored top. Also need to recover shifter-boot in same color red. Pretty weird, eh? I'd love to see a black 964 with red wheels to see if my imagination is "way out of line". Cheers.

I have a question about the section at the rear frame where the older type is connected by screws to the frame to bolt the rear an top part.

Is there no need to have that same type of fixation with the new 993 top.

Thanks for any input.
