True, and they are not crazy expensive... but who is to say they won't crack again?

In just 6 years my car went from a new spoiler and new tail lights to 4 cracks and pink tail lights (on my 2nd set already then). I don't want to spend like that every few years when the part should be designed to operate without an issue for much longer (newer 911s don't have that problem even after 15 years).
