rear spoiler update with questions

The other relay part number is for an enclosed relay which would be a more difficult fit.

The relay number I have quoted (V23072 A1059 A203) is the original open relay that was used by Porsche when 964 ‘s were first made. The one you quote I’m sure will be an enclosed type. I have just searched on eBay and found some original type available in Poland, for about 2 pounds sterling each, so I sent for 2, and the postage is reasonable too, so a winner!

Yes, this (A303) is on eBay and from Poland. Where's your picture of the A203?
Here is the spec:

"I declared victory over my stuck spoiler too soon! 1990 C4. It's stuck in the up position again and was like that when I bought the car. I had the 964 in the shop for some other items and had them take a look at the stuck spoiler. They ended up replacing the relay w/ p/n 964-618-142-00, which solved the problem for a few weeks. It's now stuck in the up position again. Manual switch does not do anything."
This is interesting:
"which solved the problem for a few weeks. It's now stuck in the up position again."
Based on the above diagnosis, it's surprising the unit ever functioned!

Strange diagnosis based on what you posted initially:

their problem as being the unit itself versus a wiring/switch/connection.

I had booked marked this thread to refer back to the resister / speed charts by mojorizing, #52 #55. They have disappeared? Can someone or mojorizing repost the charts again. Much appreciated.

I got the module back yesterday and installed it. I was able to close the spoiler with the manual switch. I just went for a drive to make sure everything functions as expected while driving and it's all good. Knock on wood that this solves it, so I can move on to other projects.

Perfect for me. Replacing the 180K resistor with a 56K resulted in the spoiler extending at 120kph and retracting at 50kph.

I take it this entire discussion does not relate to 993's?
