Default possible 90 C2 cab trade for 05 Merc C55 amg

Title says it all. The reason I'm considering the trade is not because I've lost interest in the car. I hurt my back years ago and now getting in and out of it has become a pain. I've only driven the car maybe twice in the last couple months. I had a CLK 550 which I lowered years ago and it became a problem so I got rid of it for a E550 4matic. I found this 05 C55 amg that I test drove and even though it's built on the C platform it was very comfortable. My question is to those who have had any real time experience or opinions, good or bad with the amgs. Car has 355 hp V8 and is very quick. I'm just looking at it from a practical point of view.

if this is the real problem, then i dont think that the height of the C55 AMG is going to be a great benefit .. how much are we talking .. 6" to 9" difference in seat height?

maybe think about a SUV?

Have an '05 e55 amg (550hp), not a C platform though and the seat height is still low, but not as low as the 964 of course.
No issues yet...just turned 50k miles.
Fun in straight line, great brakes. Comfy on long road trips.
...but still does not put a smile on my face like the 964.

My daily driver is a '91 300e 4matic (w124 chassis), such a solid/well built car.
The same hand-built feel that the 964's have.
Back when the mercs were built to a standard, not a price point.
Love the way it drives.
Looking for a 500e/e500 now (w124). Approx 322hp
The newer mercs can't hold a candle to the w124's in terms of build quality/reliability.

Well, I took her out today for a spirited drive and I've decided that getting in and out of the car is not all that bad compared to the engine sound at redline. I think I can deal with it. Besides, it's not my daily driver anyway. Thanks for the replies.

Closest reference I can give is from my wife's C350, which is on the same platform. It's an '08, so quite a bit different than an '05. I have just as much trouble getting in and out of the Mercedes as I do the 964. BTW, the Merecedes is a beautiful car. After she got it, I wanted to replace my 964 with a C65!

Well, Mercs are know for massive horsepower and torque. My CLK 550 had 382 hp and 391 torque from a N/A V8
