A lot of background info about money not changing hands and not much on the car or its £12k engine which must be gold plated by now

Could buy my 63K mile 5 owner car for just a few grand more than that 103k mile car. I am asking £48K. There is no engine rebuild to get excited about but with recent leakdown numbers of 7% and 8% and compression rates of more than 200PSI it doesn't need it. Compared to the blue Portiacraft car, with my car you are paying a premium for a premium car, not just a rebuilt engine.

The interior is black, the carpets as-new, but original. There is no sign of accident damage. The front end appears to be original, as does the rear.

It's a 1990 car and there's a raft of information here: https://app.box.com/s/zuu7yfaz42iqc4doshadvuny3uw40tj8 Along with pics and a couple of videos courtesy of 964 brethren.

As for 'why?' Well i fancy a 997 Turbo and I can only have one 'toy' car. I have bids from some of the best dealers in the UK and may well sell via them if i find a 997 Turbo and I haven't sold privately so if you might fancy this act quickly else you may have to pay a few grand more to drive it away from a dealer.

Sorry to hear you're selling Joe. If you've had trade bids of over £40K I would take them up if I were you. Much less hassle than holding out for a few more from a private buyer when large amounts are involved.

You are not the first to say that Steve... it is the easy route.

Sold privately. Thankfully without issue to a fellow enthusiast who wanted to add a 964 to his burgeoning Porsche collection.

Hope you didn't stray too far off your target price Joe as it was a proper 964 (even if it was a red one). Make sure you post pics of the whistling kettle when you get one.

Thx M! Didn't stray far at all... Just enough to call it a negotiation. Pictures to follow of the quick boiling kettle when it arrives. 2-3 sleeps I hope.

Just in the process of putting my C2 up for sale. It's been a great nine years of ownership but it's time to move on.
