I'm in Switzerland, but my office is in London. I've looked at a number of cars, mostly RHD, but it really makes sense for me to buy LHD. I've found a few suitable cars in the states, but getting a response from the dealers is like getting blood out of a stone.
I've spent of lot of time on Mobile.de and hunted on the Swiss sites, but mostly the prices are much higher than a RHD and you are right about an RS conversion. It's proving hard to find a decent car with a history you can trust. As long as its a good honest car that's al that matters, it's going to be completely stripped and rebuilt anyway.

There is a nice looking C4 manual coupe on pistonheads under the 996 section. The owner must be a non computer prat!! How does he expect anyone to see it there
