What a beautiful car, I love the Silver/Cartier combination. I think it's cool that the number plate and all badges now say Porsche instead of Singer, every enthusiast knows it is. Small details I know....

I personally feel the 911's lines are disrupted by a sunroof, especially on light coloured cars where the black sunroof gasket gives such contrast to the bodywork. Maybe have this item flocked in grey??

I also feel the bulk of the seats (although very 70's) make the interior a bit crowded. 356 speedster style seats with cooling slats imo would be very cool although perhaps a bit too hardcore, especially without head support. As an alternative how about a recaro pole position style base (or SPG XL) with 935 lollipop style head support?? Makes for a much more spacious and light footed interior....

Anyway, just some thoughts. What I was actually interested in asking Neel whether you could share some more data on the engine?

Can you share a dyno plot, or alternatively max power / torque reading at their specific RPM's? Is the GT3 plenum truly functioning as a variable length manifold, what performance differences did you find going this route rather than using trumpets on top of the throttle bodies?

Hope you can share some insights!

Rgds,

Harald

Thanks for the feedback on the plenum Neel, very interesting adaption of existing Porsche technology....more info is very welcome whenever the time comes you are at liberty to share.

As for the sunroof, since I'm currently not in the market for a 200K+ car the new owner should have it any way he or she likes! :-) Hope they enjoy the car in good health.

You know, with all the talk of the expense, one thing I'd like to point out is that some of what we've developed can benefit some of the 3.2/964/993 crowd. For example, the engine management system is actually priced very close to what people are spending on systems right now, but with the benefit of more modern strategies like knock control, 12 cylinder coil-on-plug (that by the way isn't any more expensive than replacement distributors/coil wires,) wideband lambda control and more. For the people building race cars or updating their street cars, the development that went into the Singer cars gives them another option when upgrading their own cars.

I'd pull the trigger on those projector headlight buckets and clear lenses if Singer made them available.

I agree that the wheel / tire / size / offsets are way wacky...still abso-freaking-lutely adore the car though! I'd just request something significantly less cartoonish in the rolling stock department if I had the money for such a creation.

AP car design in germany do a clear headlight xenon conversion for the 964... Think it costs in the region of €1200,-

The appearance is a bit strange, as I see a very widebody longhood. Does not compute! I like it, it's just different from what I am used to.

I do dig the aux lights where the horn grilles would be, that looks sweet.
