Happy Friday - Weekend plans?
What do you have planned for the weekend? Tonight, I will be moving my patio furniture off the deck, in preparation for Hurricane Irene which is expected to hit NH Sat evening. Saturday, my friend and I will continue tearing down my cab's engine, in preparation for a rebuild. Last weekend, we got the engine on the engine stand and removed all of the exterior items including the engine tin. I purchased a cam nut holding wrench and it arrived on Thurs. I expect we can get a lot done.
Does anyone have any recommended machine shops in the NH/Mass area?

Heard a great tip on CNN in regards to Hurricane preparation...put all your patio furniture and anything else that might turn into a projectile into your swimming pool (that's if you have one).
Good luck with Irene, you East Coasters...

I have been getting lots of photography session requests, so I'm head down on the laptop when I'm not behind the camera. No real Porsche time, and I still have to diagnose the starting issue. No DME codes found, according to my scantool.
Let me share this one image from one of my last sessions. this is not a high school senior, but it is a classmate of mine that I found out is a yoga instructor. She's going to use this image and others on her website:

I am ready to sell my 1972 Mercedes 280SE 4.5 but it needs a final polish/wax and interior detail before I take the photos for eBay. I like doing the interior detailing which I will do this weekend and will try to find someone else for the paint polish. Anyone interested in a classic cruiser let me know. Once this car is sold I will dive back into my 964 and upgrade the lighting in my garage.

Dealing with storm preparation & most likely cleanup by Sunday. 964 is tucked away in the garage so at least my priorities are in order Did recieve gaskets for rear side tail lights so I'll install those at some point this weekend.
Amazing pic Hawk & a lovely 280 Ricardo
Have a safe weekend!

Have friends visiting from New York, we bought tickets to Sunday's Sox - A's game, which was then moved to Saturday night as part of a day-night doubleheader. Wouldn't be surprised if Saturday's game gets rained out too.
Talk to Mark Nadler @ Exotech in Plaistow - very well respected.

It's a 3 day weekend here. There is a car / air show on Monday which we may go to - no plans for Sat / Sun yet. Cleaning cars will probably be part of Sat though if the weather allows.

I think i will refill my air conditioner in the 964. I am tired of baking in the car every time one of our summertime daily monsoon rains hit and i have to put the top up. Still 2-3 months of summer left here.

+ 1 'Axeman' - My wife and I are heading out to Super Car Sunday as well. I had wanted to go up to Laguna Seca and watch some POC racing but the wife has to work on Saturday, so our Porsche fix will be this car show instead.

I couldn't make it to Laguna, my friend's team is racing is out there this weekend. They gave me some bad news a few hours ago. One of the drivers I knew died this morning at the track, so I thought he crashed. Called my buddy right away and he said nope no crash, they had the driver's meeting and went out for the 1st session he saw him come off the track as if the car had died. By the time the medics got there, he wasn't breathing apparently, and he died from a heart attack in the car, very sad
Anyway I will try to make it to the event on Sunday we'll take my wife's 996.
Cheers!
