Lake Zurich locksmiths can duplicate transponder ( micro chipped keys ) keys and therefore are able to help. These locksmith will need to reprogram the vehicle so that the old keys are no longer useable. They provide a mobile service and will be able to travel to you and do the work onsite.

Contact Elgin locksmith for any lost keys problem. They are experienced, reputable, and skilled locksmith and will be able to make you a new key and help you reprogram the key. Plus, these locksmiths have more sophisticated machinery than hardware stores and they charge less than dealerships.

I got two blanks off ebay. PO5P and had them cut locally at a hardware store and they work. It looks like the PO6 is a perfect match, but the PO5P worked for me. The key, no pun intended, is to get someone who knows what they are doing, not a kid with an after-school job working the machine. I paid $7 per blank and a buck change to cut it. Keep it in your wallet or hid it under the car. A dab of silicone adhesive or a small zip tie and a good hiding place under a panel somewhere and you will never be locked out. Get creative, plenty of places to hide a key on a car.

I am now reminded why I have the complete set of door handles, glove box, and ignition with key saved from my old wrecked Cabriolet. 😉
