Blower Motor Supplier???

Dear Freinds
I too am interested in this subject for I have tried to lubricate both left and right fans only to have the squeaking return.
I am interested in finding a source for the bosch motors. I have heard the left and right are different and turn in opposite directions. I have not been able to confirm this rumor.
Anyone have the motor part numbers and has anyone found a source for these Bosch motors in the USA?
This forum never fails to amaze me. Information and advise has helped me many times.
Great forum ....thank you my fellow Porsche freinds
Thanks Tall02

So are the motors mounted in the same direction or are they opposite of each other? If opposite, then they will both spin in the same direction internally but the fans spin in opposite directions?

According to this post that was mentioned before https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...nt-dash-3.html you could buy a left blower, dismantle it and use it for the rigth blower....

I bought and received a right side front blower motor. from the seller on ebay (easy transaction btw). I asked the seller and he does not have the left side one. it seems it is only a "bend over, pass the vaseline" part from the stealer.

Thanks for the tips guys... I installed the used motor I purchased from my neighbor (Thanks Rudy) following the link on post #9. Its pretty straight forward except for a couple screws on the firewall that are a total PITA. Once the firewall is removed, the motor change out is a 20 minute operation. Using an opposite motor should work as long as the squirrel cage matches the motor keeping the air drawing in from the center and expelling it out.. I think the mounting of the motor would be the tough part...

Hey Dan you are welcome, it was a pleasure meeting you and the GOOD looking 964, I hope everything goes well with the fan, cause with this Texas heat you need that a/c, hope to hook up soon for coffee and cars.....

So far, pulling mine and soaking it in lubricant has worked well. Maybe I caught it early...maybe it will start squeeling in the am. Either way, its nice to see there might be a cheap alternative when my time comes.
