Goughary: I think alexjc4 is talking about the felt liner on the "inside" of the glass. But the outside scraper does have an inner lining of felt(?) just below the edge that does the actual "squeegie-ing".
You're right, my bad, I've now clarified in my post above I was talking about the felt strip, not the rubber one.
I just repaired an inop window and taking this occasion to replace all the felts, scrapers and so forth that do not require the glass to be removed.
Are those all that I hilighted here? It looks like some parts changed pre/post 1991, I'll probably call Delaware Porsche to understand those better tomorrow.
