Default 964RS 3.8 - Wheel specs anyone?

Does anyone know the original wheel and tire specs for the ROW 964 RS 3.8?

This is the amazing and rare widebody car with the factory Speedline wheels.

I have read the wheels are 18x8.5" and 18x11" but I would like to confirm this
and find out what offset they used, plus the tire sizes (235/40-18 & 285/35-18?).

Here are a couple of borrowed pics for reference.

IIRC the fronts are 9J and the rears are 11J. ET5 for the rear, can't remember the offset for the fronts off the top of my head.

Thank you!

I just found this document. It looks legit. Assuming it is, now I just need to know the offsets

Shame on me for not getting more creative on Google before starting this thread

Here is the info I was after:

Speedline for Porsche cup design modular 18 inch

Special order from Porsche

RS 3.8 only
ditto 9JX18 48 RS 3.8 front only

RS 3.8 only
ditto 11JX18 5 RS 3.8 rear only

The next step is to find out if the 964 RS 3.8 uses the same front suspension geometry as a 964 turbo, i.e. mounting points, steering knuckles, subframe, etc. Obviously the alignment settings are far more aggressive.

Anyone?

Man I love these widebody N/A cars. Too bad they sell for so much money

in front it used the same suspension components(but w/ monoball bushes) and brakes as on the turbo S, these are the same as a regular 964 but the longitudinals are mounted in the outboard position rather than the inboard.

In back they used the Cup(narrow body/monoball) trailing arms rather than the wider turbo arms

they also used the 993 style dual muffler exhaust w/ the mufflers mounted in the fenders

Tuner1, what kind of project do you have in mind?

Last time your were looking for a RUF RCT Evo if I remember correctly?

You have a good memory

This car will be somewhat mild compared to my last two turbo projects.

964T with a warmed over 3.3L, CIS, headers, GT35 (400whp?), KW V3s, big brakes, 18" wheels, Recaro seats, etc. More of a fun weekend car than an all-out power/speed King.

Yup, sure seems like an interesting project. Subscribed . 400bhp out of a 3.3 turbo should not be too difficult. Are you thinking of doing the narrow body trailing arm conversion? What this means (besides the eep dish look in the rear) is that it allows you to go from 285 to 315+ tyres in the rear. It can make quite a difference with that kind of power output. But I have to ask though, how can you go from a 550hp+ beast to a 400hp "tamed beast"..? I'm sure if you made it lighter the difference would maybe not be perceived the same way.. Cool project regardless.. Do you already have a 964 turbo 3.3?

Front yes, rear no.

Rear offset will have to be circa 38-40mm, not the 5mm of the RS.

Thanks , but is it possible to find same deeper wheels like on 3,8 but with perfect offset to fit 3,6 Turbo ? Cause standard Turbo wheels not so deep as on RS 3.8

I saw some members here have 11jx18 but what offset ?
As I understand the look will be the same as on RS 3,8 with 11jx18 ?

This are 11Jx18

And this are RS 3,8

For me RS 3,8 wheels looks more deeper or I am wrong ? If both cars have same 11Jx18 why they look different?

The Turbo uses wide body trailing arms. The 3.8RS uses narrow body trailing arms. The rear wheels are very different offset.
