Reading between the lines, I'm saying that if the manufacturer fell woefully short of producing and mapping an optimised and reliable system, what chance would anyone else have?? Simon persevered with it for years but the truth was that he had little chance of doing anything better with it. I fitted the M4, got it running and mapped it from scratch on a long Saturday afternoon (with many extended tea breaks) whereupon the car gained lumps of power, was faster on track and more importantly was suddenly totally reliable. Simon now has software & datalogging which he can understand & use competantly and is now looking to engine/supercharger/intercooler improvements based on the data he has recorded.

Just to update this thread, I stuck my car on a dyno for one quick power run last week as it hasn't been near one since the end of 2011 and the results are below.
Maybe the engine has loosened up now its done a few thousand miles so now properly run in, maybe the result is a red herring, maybe it's atmospheric conditions blah blah blah but I'll take it!!![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
Had a great drive back from Goodwood last week following a grey & orange GT3RS that had nothing extra in a straight line
He pulled over after a bit on the motorway to have a sneaky peek at the back end.

Not too sure as I'm too tight to cough up the £10 Stig of the dump wants to put it on the weigh bridge. I'd like to think it's somewhere around the 1100 - 1150kg.
I will weigh it but as there's always bits coming off and nailed back on the weight changes a lot!
Hopefully it will settle down if I get the bodywork sorted over the winter.
P.s. I may be interested in your wheel adaptor if doesn't fit BB.

The rubber top cover on my engine always had a little crack down it but recently it has deteriorated and it's now literally in tatters!
I don't run heat on my engine so was looking at these blanking covers from Clewett but (call me tight) I can maybe just about justify $80 for the cover but can't bring myself to stump up for the $40 shipping and inevitable customs charges. It will probably end up owing me £110 - £120 for a little plastic cover![banghead](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/banghead.gif)
Does anyone know if there is an alternative option to the Clewett or whether anyone else makes these?
Doubt there will be anyone in the UK but here's hoping!

Maybe I'll just get creative with the old one and some fibreglass & failing that break out the melon skins or maybe now it's pumpkin season......

I didn't realise until I took the offending item off today that it is actually more plastic than rubber so I cut the rubber part out, made a quick template made from card & then copied it in polycarbonate & bonded into place. Hopefully this will do the job although I may have to paint it as there's not much to look at through the window when the protective film is removed!
