No, it's running the Bosch Motronic but the engine rebuild was not quite stock. It may be over-egging it but this is the list I give my insurers for engine spec:

The 993 valves were a no brainer as the old ones were being replaced why not replace with the lighter smaller dia shaft 993 valves.
I presume you mean why did I go for 993RS inlet valves and standard 993 sized exhaust valves?
I've been trying to remember as it was a few years ago and I think that I was advised that enlarging the exhaust valves wouldn't give me any gains and could possibly have the opposite affect. I still don't know if there is a 'right' way to do this as I have seen larger capacity 964 engines with the larger valves on the exhaust and not the inlet.
Pretty sure I've got some info on it somewhere but I'll have to dig it out.
Bit of a thread revival here as I'm after a bit of advice...
I've been messing around changing the intake system and fuel lines on my engine and a couple of the parts don't assemble. I know my chassis is 1985/3.2 but that shouldn't matter.
First one is the throttle cable. My new throttle cable interface is a ball end whereas the old one was the bracket with the plastic insert arrangement. Does anyone know if the bracket can be bought on it's own or if I'll have to make something up?
Second one is the 993 fuel rails - Annoyingly these have M16 threads whereas the 964 ones were M14. This is both on the supply and the return lines.
Has anyone else found this before and fitted adaptors? I was thinking something like the ones shown below.

The throttle arm on the new body has been modified to fit the ball pull. You should change it for a stock 964 1992- throttle for the plastic intake and that will be a direct fit with your existing cable.
That said, should you ever be considering an engine management change this might be the perfect opportunity as you could fit a 993 non-Varioram throttle instead as this comes with the preferred TPS sensor. For the existing set up you will need the 964 manual version which has idle and full throttle switches only. Third option is the Tiptronic version which has both switches and TPS, using the switches for the ECU and TPS for the Tiptronic.

Thanks Colin, I had suspected that the ball end was a mod. I think I'll look to knock up a swivel adaptor to keep things simple.
Interesting info on the differences between the throttle bodies. Funnily enough I am changing the engine management as part of this little project and TPS would be nice but there has already been enough mission creep so right now I just want to get the thing back on the road for when we are allowed out to play again!
