Tom its a Maritime C4 Lightweight;-) not RS rep thank youhehehe
Yes, I know guys, the frustration is long past over my head now after how long again since I last driven Amazon? Very true Boxsey, the last time I drove the car was when I 1st bought her.
There has been many hurdles along the way especially the length of time the trim has been away. Its been that long the car went into storage, but I keep convincing my self the words 'not long now'!! You would be surprised on how many niggly bits I come across whilst building her back. Determined not to put any old rubbish back in, even the slightest rustly bolt or screw. The other hurdles I come across are things which you might want to upgrade or make more functional, such as side air vents controls which a cup car, NGT don't have (watch this space!) hence why I have kept things such as radio and odd speakers, electric windows for functional use for when I want to travel long distance driving. Today its upgrading my brakes with a search on adaptors for my 'Big Reds'. Waiting for parts and the right parts is another story Mr Porsche!
So the lesson is plan your project properly!lol
There has been times when I even thought of selling her to an enthusiast on here who has been following the thread for many months now, offering a nice number. NO no says my my family!!! not when all that time and effort has spent on the '2nd mistress' my girlfriend called her
So.....back on the brakes!

These big reds where butchered by a bodyshop who as you can see do not specialise in brake caliper refurb, but give them a spray gun and they will spray everything including brackets and seals too!!
Here they are at Brake Caliper Refurbs. getting stripped now ready to be blasted, plates nickle plated before back to Amazon.
The question is do I go Maritime blue like on calipers now (thinking too much blue) or original Black? or RED like my turbo?
OMG!

oooooooh an Aladdin's cave of precious shiny things!
I love places like this :-)
The quality looks fantastic. I completely stripped all 4 or mine back to bare metal (what a job :-S) and sourced all the replacement parts. I bought a kit to paint them from a well know supplier but the results in comparison are pants. Thankfully I only painted two. I'm not adverse to hard graft for good results but never again would I bother doing this. The cost of having them done by far outways the number of hours you'll spend rubbing back and cleaning them up. I'll give your man call about finishing the job.
