Default Top End Overhaul Questions

Some theoretical questions for the brains trust

If you were doing a top end overhaul and replacing the cams with say Dougherty DC 21, new valve springs + Ti retainers, retaining Motronic would you.....

a) leave injectors in place as is
b) replace with stock new injectors
c) replace with new higher flow injectors

while you were in there?

Car has approx 125,000 kilometers, chip and G pipe.

Thanks!

Don't replace, just send them out to be cleaned and flow tested. About $150, well worth it! One of mine was listed as "dripping", and I only had 80k miles. They will look and perform as new.

Dave is right: just send them out to a specialist to be tested & cleaned.

Performance software is matched to the engine's configuration and those cams do not need larger injectors.
