Marc stayed late at work last night to finish the graphics. Marc double masked the edge of the stripe so that he simply had to remove the inner tape to leave a perfect 10mm gap from the orange to the second tape for the stripe. He then masked the edge of the orange & then the rest of the car before painting the blue.
The last job to do before lacquering is to mask off the fresh basecoat on the stripes to prevent contamination whilst wet flatting the Gulf Blue. Marc's now on the case and the car will be back in the booth this tonight to spray the clear coat which will not only seal the basecoat from damage but will also bring the pearl colour to life. Not long now to finished shell.
