I tend to agree but was too polite to say.
Changing or re-plating nuts,bolts and hose clips does make it look a little more finished and make the whole thing stand out. Not too late though.

Hey guys, I plan to do "full rebuild" in the year or so where I will really go to town on the engine and spent a lot more time on details. This was originally supposed to be a quicky clutch job, which turned out to be be a motor mount Deluxe job! I was pressed for time because I really needed to get my 69 Alfa Duetto back into the garage before the rains started (and they started today).
This is an actual picture of my e34 m5 rebuild I did a few years ago, I did not leave one single bolt untouched....!
