Hall sensor Connector Plug Severed
Help! I unwrapped the electrical tape around the hall sensor plug and found ground wire severed and missing pin (see pics). It was like this when I bought the car. I think the previous owner damaged it when replacing belt. Now DME logging 34 (hall sensor defective).
I am hoping to replace just the plug w/pins by splicing it to existing wires. Does anyone know where I can find a hall sensor connector plug replacement- new or used? Part number is helpful if available. Thanks.

I finally were able to replace broken plug and reconnect ground terminal thanks to Geoffrey's kit from MoTec. I'm posting some pics for anyone interested.

how is it running without the hall sensor properly connected? mine has some issues which i too need to fix,
my C2 feels like it's running on 3 cylinders and i'm getting 4-5 kms per litre of premium fuel.... i may have a engine harness issue... definitely electrical and not mechanical...
oddly, i did not get error code when running hammer scan...

The car was running fine but I installed a chip from Steve Wong and nothing changed; he mentioned that my car is not running to it's full potential already. Since it's winter here and I can't drive the car, I am checking all the wiring harness to find any damaged wires, and I found this when taking the tape off (actually broke when taking the tape off). Code 23, closed loop system limit.

I have gotten that hall sensor code since scan tool first came out 12 + years ago at least. I have checked connector numerous times. Car runs great so not so sure it is reading right.

Hi hotrodaxel - I bet you meant to post this in the 996 forum? This is the 964 forum for the 89-94 air-cooled cars.

The hall sensor location in the 996 is completely different from the 964; a 964 owner wouldn't know where it is either. Someone from the 996 forum could assist.
But this thread might help? Looks like you need to get under the car to locate it. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...placement.html
