There are 2 green cars at the Zolder race in 1990.

No. 33 and No.7

Manthey is in the lead in the green 33 car and green No. 7 Colombo is half way down the field and crashes out.

I like watching the old races!

Also patiently awaiting the promised Total 911 article update on the uprated Red 964RSL engine from 3.6 - 4.0 of one of your customer cars.
I understand the client has been working away and had the car in storeagem (rumour from a journo). Surely this would make an interesting topic, a great car in its own right being dragged into 996 GT3RS terroritory.

OK boys, better late than never. Here are the photos I took last week of Kermit in the shop, obviously now off the jig and on one of our move-around shell dollys. The interior has now been fully stripped for cleaning and minor repainting of the cage, but there's no way I'm letting Marc remove the patina of the worn paint on the footrest panel next to the clutch pedal.....

The damaged & badly fitted/repaired quarter panels have been replaced, Marc also ensured that the arch lips were rolled flat to Cup specification before fitting. Here the panels can be seen fully welded on awaiting the rolling of flange over the edge of the drip rail on the roof. Once this is done & the panels are painted I will guarantee you will never tell that the quarter has ever been replaced - provided that you have never read this on Rennlist of course!

With a hole in the bodyshop paint schedule to fill Marc has been busy finishing off the fabrication work on Kermit so that our painters can have a large project to fall back on when they are not working on customer's cars. Today MC has flanged over the LHS quarter panel and is detail welding the seams as factory the factory would.

And before anyone asks, the red 964 in the background is a customer's trackday toy that has come in for a minor sill repair.

Porsche have lost all the records for the 1990 and 1991 Cup Cars I am told by my German friend with the only tiptronic Cup made.

Looking good Colin. Any chance of a photo of how the glove lid fits onto the dash?

I am about to fit a replacement but looks like holes are required on the dash.

I'm up to my ears with High Lift cam development and engine building/testing at the moment but I'll try to take a couple of pics for you of Kermit and the 9m11RS we're building & post them before weekend.

Excellent pics Colin. Do the new rear quarters come complete with the rear light frames?

Thanks, not bad for a camera phone (Nokia N97)?

The good news is yes, the rear light apertures and B-post (door catch panel) come pre-fitted to the quarter panel. The bad news is that 9 times out of 10 the B post is welded in the wrong place.....
