no that includes everything from the kit to the work. not much more for the stage 1 kit then the s/c just feel safer and more bang for the buck.. Plus every true porsche guy says no to the s/c

I can always use more power...it's not needed, but I wouldn't turn it down. Some of these kits are pricey...and I'd consider getting a new car with more power.

I would tend to agree BUT I can't bring myself to buy a water cooled car...

The total cost was probably about $22 to $23,000 but that included a total engine (top and bottom) rebuild in addition to the turbo related work. When I had the work performed the car had about 150,000 miles on it and was due an engine rebuld anyway. Todd's work also included: new brakes, the dual oil cooler, a 996 Gt 2 clutch and pressure plate, a 993 mass air flow, 993 GT 2 fuel pump and injectors, new plugs, wires,new manifold feet, and a bunch of other parts and pieces that were warn out or were in poor condition. Even at $23,000
I feel like it was money well spent. My car is good for another 150,000 miles, again, knock on wood.

New paint is next. I drive it year round through the Colorado winters and the front is pretty badly beat up. Oh well.

Wow, for $25K, I would just go buy an older Viper and drive it on the days I only go straight.

Sadly, Kadmus, my wife's car is a modded E55. That's one reason I am having such a problem with this.

It kills me that this motor was just rebuilt, and at the time they could have done the 3.8 thing...or went low compression and added some bolt-on love. Don't really want to tear down a new engine.

ilkp no sour grapes just from everyone I have talked to here or at porsche meets that the turbo is the way to go.. Well can't say that heard the new TPC kit is a vast imporvement over the old one with new technology etc..

How long you had your s/c and what brand?

Cheaper to buy a 996!! You get 320hp in a stock, reliable configuration...
