Just saw that Scott's car (above) just sold on BaT.

Congrats Scott on the sale. I really liked your car. This might be considered a bargain purchase very soon. Someone just asked me this week what I'd sell mine for. I don't know I think because I don't want to sell. In a letter to editor of Excellence magazine this month they said you could buy any non turbo air cooled 911 for $65,000. They must have edited that issue 6 months ago because I haven't seen a 964 coupe or Targa sell for $65k this year. How quickly the market changed.

The Targa is the rarest of the 964s, probably of all air cooled put together. We should all be blessed to own one or have owned one, for those who sold already. I swapped my 9934S for my 964 Targa, although I miss the 993 sometimes, I'm never letting go of the 964T. Especially since I am the 2nd owner. Photo below to contribute to reviving this thread as well.

its in pieces right now. Literally. Engine is out, full rebuild. All new suspension, brakes, etc. and the interior is gutted. I mean not a thing still intact. Raw shell. I will post more asap, started a thread but haven’t been keeping up. I will use this as a catalyst to pick that thread back up. Thanks stay tuned.

No, the plate belongs to the guy I purchased the car from.

Another great summer with my Targa
My 92 C2 Targa is quickly becoming my favourite “all around er”. Still a classic G body but so great as a semi-modern cruiser. Top out and windows up is great even at aggressive highway speeds…. Very civilized really. Nice to see the recent love on BAT.

Realized I never added mine to this thread. Picked it up about 2 months ago – 91 targa with about 71k miles. Came with the e88s and the original D90s.
