Default Wheel Spacer Question

I'm installing a set of OEM 5mm spacers on my car.
The spacers came with screws for the two small securing holes on the spacer. My hubs have two additional holes on the hub BUT they do not line up with the holes in the spacer.
Question is, do I need to bolt down the spacers? Or do the lug nuts do an adequate job?
Thanks!

With a 5mm spacer you'll be OK.

Are you using the original bolts to to mount the rims or did you buy a longer set?

No need for longer studs with the 5mm spacers according to Pelican and Wheel Enhancement.

I have been running 5mm spacers with stock studs for 6 years now.

Yup, found out that I didn't need the longer studs with 5mm.
Is it worth using 5mm up front also?

Not to stir things up, but I think a blanket statement that you won't need longer studs is inacurate based on my experience. Just to be sure...It depends on the wheels as to whether you will need longer studs. With my Mille Miglia Cup IIs I needed to install longer studs. YMMV.

Count the turns on your lug nuts to be sure it is safe. Russ' C4 ran spacers and he only had a few turns on the lug nuts. You should have said something as I have 2 sets of spacers.

The rule of thumb is that you need to have thread depth at least as big as the diameter of the stud. I've never had a problem achieving that with a 5mm spacer on different wheels - OEM Cup I's, replicas, etc.

I recently picked up a set of Cup IIs for my C4 - where is the best place to source 5mm spacers?

+1 That is the rule to truly determine whether you need to replace studs.
