Hey Jeff - I think I'll make it to that - sounds like a fun time. Might go to the Saturday night cruise-in at Blue Moon too.

Thanks to everyone for the generous compliments! I'm really enjoying the car and have fiddled with the motor a bit to resolve a few minor issues and it's fun to wrench on so far. I'm struck at how easy it is to get to the various mechanical bits thus far. Only issue I've run into is that stooping over the motor kills my back!

Spent some time polishing on my other (soon to be vacating) sports car, my Miata, a car I've spent a long time improving. I've literally forgotten everything I've done to it! Thought I'd grab a pic of one of my favorite reds, with my new favorite blue!

You drive a cool car my friend, we have similar taste, I bought my 997 in 2009.

PS a guy in town owns this 964 RS, I'm going to try and buy it, where should I start the offer?

For a state-side RS, probably a lot and then some more.

Bruce,
I saw your car at Cars & Coffee today. Always good to a Maritine Blue 911!

Are you serious about the 964 RS? I didn't know Ingram was selling?
I thought the car went for the $140K range... good to know you like 964s (or the color) that much!

I was a lucky man, I happened to park right next to it just after he bought it.

Lots for pics from a past thread.Euro 964 RS parked next to U.S. C2 - definition of "stance"

Did you see the Baltic Blue 964 for sale at C&C...the one with the Ruf wheels? I'm going to post pics of that one soon. Super looking car (mint inside/out), all for $20K. It had me thinking about a trade...

Hey man

Well any car has a price right? Spoke with Rory today and will visit his shop Friday (has an Enzo & a Lusso there to!). I'm looking for a car I can drive (2k miles a year?) for less than $150k that can win some awards, has a story, is unique, fastish @ VIR, won't depreciate too much - something like a 964 RS in Maritime.

Yip I saw that Baltic beauty, for $20 & maintained by a Porsche tech, it's a steal.

OK, you are serious!

Do you know about this car? It's located in Apex (Owned by Cupcar#12 on RL)
1992 Carrera Cup USA edition #12 (Andial Converted)...priced @ $75K

This car was one of my favorites today...I wonder what this car would go for?
It's the only paint-to-sample non-metallic Slate Grey 3.6 Turbo. Yummy!

Thanks Bruce - Love your 997 in Maritime, beautiful!

I've made a few mods on mine since this thread was started - I'm finally pretty darn happy with the look and performance now.

Funny coincidence is that the RS you're looking at was owned by the Rennlister who started this thread! I've seen that car in person too and it's a beauty.

Here's my 964 as it is currently

Wow she is a beauty, I too have added some black (Carrera III) wheels of late, kept the the stock silver 19"'s too.
The whale tail is new? 'cos I've thought about adding an aerokit, hmmmm.

I don't know that car, but that's the sort of thing I'd like. Yes Ingram's Slate Grey turbo is a beaut. He however likes his turbo's, they, turbo's, are one of three cornerstones of his collection, and would probably not let it go, it's also in concours condition, unlike the RS.

Those look great - the bodycolor inside the spoke barrels is a nice touch! Yeah the ducktail is by Getty and I love the overall look. I wanted to walk that line between classic and modern, while shedding some weight out back.
